The learning environment in Oak Class is purposeful and calm. It is a place where children feel confident to take risks, are valued and have appropriate challenges to really help them unlock their potential. With opportunities to develop leadership skills and take on responsibilities, the children are proud to be role models for the younger members of the school.
Learning is our core business and the children are encouraged to be curious and fully participate as part of the everyday classroom culture. We know that we are growing our brains and that it is important to struggle sometimes and learn from our mistakes. We often find ourselves in the 'learning pit' when we take on new challenges and ideas, but with resilience, grit and determination, we journey through the challenge to surface as true learning warriors!
We are a true team with a shared responsibility to look after each other and the rest of the school tribe.
